Dominicus, Bischof von Torcello, Legat des Apostolischen Stuhles für die Länder des Kaisers etc., erklärt, daß der Herr Johannes, Abt des Neuklosters, mit Folgendem zu ihm gekommen ist: Frau Dorothea, die Witwe nach dem Neustädter Bürger Fridericus Maichsner, hatte auf ihrem Krankenlager über ihr Hab und Gut verfügt und dabei auch den Prior seines Klosters, Frater Leonhardus, mit seiner Zustimmung zum Testamentsvollstrecker bestimmt. Als nun die verbürgte Nachricht vom Hinscheiden der Erblasserin kam, wollte Fr. Leonhardus deren letztwillige Verfügungen ausführen, vermochte es aber wegen verschiedener Hindernisse nicht. Es fehlt ein Dokument, und die derzeitigen Inhaber des Erbgutes sind nicht bereit, dieses dem Exekutor Leonhard zu übergeben. Er, der Legat, wollte sich genauer unterrichten und forderte kraft seiner Vollmacht alle, die bei diesem Geschäft dabei gewesen oder Besitztümer der Frau Dorothea innehaben oder über die Bestellung eines Exekutors durch die Erblasserin etwas wissen, auf, zu einem bestimmten Termin vor ihm zu erscheinen¹. Abt Johannes war ebenfalls mit Zeugen erschienen, die, vom Legaten befragt, eidlich aussagten: Im Oktober des Jahres 1462, um den Tag der Elftausend Jungfrauen, etwa um die Mittagszeit, hat Frau Dorothea in ihrem Hause in Neustadt hinter der Katharinenkapelle auf ihrem Krankenlager liegend, über ihren Besitz verfügt und bestimmt, daß alle bewegliche Habe in diesem ihrem Hause nach ihrem Tode ihrer derzeitigen Magd Katharina, der Frau des Neustädters Wolfgang des Wagners gehören sollte, mit Ausnahme der wertvollen silbernen Gefäße und des Geldes. Aus diesen Pretiosen sollten 3 Meßkelche angefertigt werden, einer für die Pfarrkirche unserer lieben Frau zu Neustadt, einer für die Pfarrkirche in Krumpach und einer für die aus ihrem Gut zu errichtende Stiftung einer ewigen Messe. Weiters wollte sie, daß die 90 Ib d, die man ihr schuldet, eingefordert und für einen guten Zweck verwendet werden, etwa zur Anfertigung der Meßkelche, wenn das Material dazu nicht reichen sollte, der Rest für 1000 Messen für ihr Seelenheil. Von den ihr zustehenden jährlichen Zinsen von 10 lb d hat der von ihr bestellte Testamentsvollstrecker eine ewige Messe für sie, ihren Mann und ihre Eltern zu stiften. Ihren Weingarten zu St. Margareten bei Rust, (Diözese Raab) gab sie der dortigen Pfarrkirche, doch soll ihre Magd Katharina zeitlebens den Fruchtgenuß davon haben. Ihren Hof aber in Lichtenwörth (Lichtenwerd) samt allem Zubehör vermachte sie dem Abte und dem Konvent des obgenannten Dreifaltigkeitsklosters in Neustadt, dessen Prior Leonhardus sie zum Exekutor ihres letzten Willens bestellte. Nach Anhörung und Prüfung der Zeugen bestätigt der Legat das Testament der Frau Dorothea und den Prior Leonhardus als dessen Vollstrecker durch Anhängung seines Siegels an dieses Dokument. Zeugen: die beiden Familiären des Legatenf die Kleriker Jodok Baustman und Heinrich de Mehra, Theologen der Diözesen Lüttich und Cambrai .
Dominicus, Bishop of Torcello, Legate of the Apostolic See for the lands of the Emperor, etc., declares that Lord Johannes, Abbot of Neukloster, has come to him with the following matter: Lady Dorothea, widow of the Neustadt citizen Fridericus Maichsner, disposed of her property on her sickbed and, with his consent, appointed the prior of his monastery, Brother Leonhardus, as executor of her will. When reliable news of the testatrix’s death arrived, Brother Leonhardus wished to carry out her last wishes, but was unable to do so due to various obstacles. A document is missing, and the current holders of the inheritance are unwilling to hand it over to the executor Leonhard. The legate wished to be more fully informed and, by virtue of his authority, summoned all those who were involved in this matter, or who hold property of Lady Dorothea, or who know anything about the appointment of an executor by the testatrix, to appear before him at a specified date. Abbot Johannes also appeared with witnesses, who, when questioned under oath by the legate, testified: In October of the year 1462, around the day of the Eleven Thousand Virgins, at about midday, Lady Dorothea, lying on her sickbed in her house in Neustadt behind the Katharinenkapelle, disposed of her property and decreed that all movable goods in her house, after her death, should belong to her current maid Katharina, wife of the Neustadt citizen Wolfgang the wainwright, except for the valuable silver vessels and the money. From these valuables, three chalices were to be made: one for the parish church of Our Lady in Neustadt, one for the parish church in Krumpach, and one for the foundation of a perpetual mass to be established from her estate. Furthermore, she wished that the 90 lb d owed to her be collected and used for a good purpose, such as the making of the chalices if the material was insufficient, with the remainder to be used for 1,000 masses for the salvation of her soul. From the annual interest of 10 lb d due to her, the executor she appointed was to endow a perpetual mass for her, her husband, and her parents. She gave her vineyard at St. Margareten near Rust (Diocese of Raab) to the local parish church, but her maid Katharina was to have the usufruct of it for life. Her farm in Lichtenwörth (Lichtenwerd), with all its appurtenances, she bequeathed to the abbot and convent of the aforementioned Trinity Monastery in Neustadt, whose prior Leonhardus she appointed as executor of her last will. After hearing and examining the witnesses, the legate confirms the testament of Lady Dorothea and Prior Leonhardus as its executor by affixing his seal to this document. Witnesses: the two familiars of the legate, the clerics Jodok Baustman and Heinrich de Mehra, theologians of the dioceses of Liège and Cambrai.
