Obiit dominus Johannes senior monachus et sacerdos de Ebraco nach aller Wahrscheinlichkeit auf Abt Johannes U. bezieht, so hat er vor seinem Tode seine Würde freiwillig oder gezwungen niedergelegt. Die Angabe des jüngeren Necrologiums III. Nonas septemb. obiit dominus Johannes abbas hujus domus, praefuit 7 annis obiit 1398 ist eine willkürliche.
