    This indenture, made the XlXth daye of Juyne in the fourth year of the raign of our soue- raign Lorde, Edwarde the sixl, by the grace of God King of Englonde, Fraunce and Irelonde, defendor || of the fayth and in earthe of the Church of Englonde and also of Irelonde the supreame hedde, by- twene the Aldirman and Societie of the marchaunts of the Hanse, resydent in the Stillyarde || in Lon don, on the one partie, and Henry Hoode of Bostonne, in the county of Lyncolne, marchaunt of the Staple of the towne of Calleys, on thother partie: Witnessith, that the foresaide || Aldirman and So cietie of one assent haue grauntyn, demysyn and to ferme leiten, and by thise preseuts doo demyse, graunt and to firme lette vnto the saide Henry All that their house or mesuage, belonging to the saide Styllyarde, by vertue of their pryvylegies, graunted to them by the Kings Maiestie and bis mos

    noble progenitours, wyürall shoppes, cellers, vauts, warehouses, sollers, casements, commodities and appurtenaunces, whatsoever to the saide mesuage or house belonging or in anny wise apperteynyng, set, lying and beyng in Boston aforesaide, nowe in thoccupacyon 'of Robert Mickelbarowe, to haue and to holde all the said mesuage or tenyment and other the premyssies with thappurtenaunces vnto the foresaide Henry Hoode, his executours and assignes from the feast of the natiuitie of sainte John Baptist next commyng after the date hereof vnto thende and terme of fyflene years than next ensuyng and fully to be compleate and endyd, yelding and paying therefore yearly during the saide terme vnto the foresaide Aldirman and Socyetie and to their successours, Alderman and Socyetie of the saide Styllyarde, for the lyme beyng, or to one of them, or to their certeyn assigne Thirtye thre shillings and four pence of lawfull money of Englonde in the Cyttie of London at the feast of the nativytie of saint John Baptist at one hole and entyre payment yearly to be payde. And the foresaide Henry Hoode covenauntyth and grauntyth by these presents well and truly to expende and bestowe twenty pounds lawfull money of Englonde, within the space of a year next ensuring the date of thise presents, in and vppon the reparacyons, amending and newemaking of the foresaide mesuaige and other the pre myssies with thappurtenaunces, and that he, the saide Henry Hoode, his executours and assignes than after all the same mesuage and other the premyssies with thappurtenannces shall well and suf- ficyently repayre, susteyn, vpholde and mayneteyn and ayenst wynde and rayne shall make and kepe defencyble; and the sigies or pry vies thereof shall doo to be pourgid and clensyd; and the pavements of the same as well wythin as without shall doo to be paved, made and amended from tyme to tyme, as often and when as nede shall requyre in the premyssies or anny of them during all the saide terme; and the same mesuaige and other the premyssies with thappurtenaunces so sufFycyently repaired and amendyd in thende of the saide terme shall leave, yelde and surrender vnto the foresaide Aldirman and Socyetie of the foresaide Styllyarde or theire assignes wythout fraude or rovine. And if it happen the foresaide yearly rent of thirty thre shillings and four pence to be behinde vnpayde, in parte or in all, ovir or after anny terme of payment thereof whearyn, as is afore saide, it ought to be payde by the space of fourtene dayes, or if it happen the foresaide reparacyons not to be donne from tyme to tyme in fourme aforesaide accordingly during the saide terme, that then in either of the saide cases and at all tymes than after yt shall be lyfull vnto the foresaide Aldirman and Socyetie of the saide Styllyarde and their successours for the ty me beyng or to their certeyne assigne into all the foresaide mesuagies and other the premyssies with the appurtenauncyes above demysed whoolie to re enter and the same to baue agayne, retaign and repossede, and the saide Henry Hoode, his executours and assignes thereof and therefroo vttirly to expell, put out and amove, this indenture to the con trary in anny wise notwithstonding. Provydid all waye, and yt is aggreed bytwene the saide par ties, that is to saye, the foresaide Henry for hym, his executours and assignes covenaunty th and graun tyth by thise presents, that every suche parsone and parsones, as are and hereafter shalbe free of the saide house of the Styllyarde, resorting vnto the foresaid mesuage, shall have reservid and assigned vnto hym and them (wythin the same mesuage and the site thereof, chamberrome and warehouse- rome all the whyle of his and their abode there from tyme to tyme during the foresaide terme.

    And the foresaide Aldirman and Company for them and their successours covenauntyn and grauntyn by thise presents, that the saide Henry, his executours and assignes all the saide mesuage and other the premyssies above demysed wyth thappurtenannces for the yearly rent aforesaide and in manner and fourme above declared shall quyetly and peacybly baue, holde and enjoye during all the foresaide terme of XV years by thise presents. In witnes vvhearof the partyes aforesaide to thise indentares enter- chaungeably haue put their sealls. Jovin the daye and year above wrytten.
