Zápolyai Imre, Szepes örökös ispánja bizonyítja, hogy a király hozzá küldött parancsában Sáros és Szepes megyékben megtartandó tanuvallatást rendelt el arra nézve, hogyvajjon Jakab szepesi kanonokot valban a Sóvári nemesek ölték-e meg, amint azt a királynak előadták. a megtartott tanuvallatás a Sóvári nemesek ártatlanságát bizonyította, mert a kanonok volente divina clementis távozott ebből a világból.
