    Rectori ducatus Spoletani, ut homines Castrorum Cassiae et Vissi, si Perusinis in bello contra Fulginates nullum auxilium praestiterint, ab excommunicatione absolvat Reg. An. 1. ep. 21. Tom. L fol. 9.

    Honokius episcopus etc. Dilecto filio Rollando de Ferentino Capellano nostro, Ducatus Spoletani Rectori, salutem etc. Ex parte Universitatum Ca- Btrorum Cassie et Vissi Spoletane diocesis fuit pro- positum coram nobis, quod licet olim homines Castrorum ipsorum tam tempore mote guerre a Communi Perusino contra Civitatem et cives Fu- liginates, quam ante et post in devotione Romane ecclesie perstiterint et persistant, nullumque ipsis Perusinis contra mandata et inhibitiones sedis apo- stolice adversus Fulginates dederint auxihum, con- silium vel favorem, tamen fel. rec. Martinus papa, predecessor noster, in processibus contra ipsos Pe- rusinos generahter editis per eundem predictos ho- mines una cum fautoribus ipsorum Perusinorum vinculo excommunicationis astrinxit, ac ipsorum terras ecclesiastico supposuit interdicto. Nuper pro parte ipsorum hominum et Universitatum humih- ter petebatur a nobis, ut eos ab huiusmodi excom- municatione absolvi, et dictum interdictum relaxari de benignitate Bolita per discretum ahquem man- daremus. Nos igitur attendentes, quod ubi non est culpa, pena est merito relaxanda, discretioni tue, de qua plene confidimus, presentium tenore man- damus, quatinus inquisita super premissis dihgen- tius veritate, si tibi constiterit eosdem homines predictorum Castrorum prefatis Perusinis nullum, ut predicitur, in premissis dedisse auxihum, con- silium vel favorem, absque difficultate qualibet au- ctoritate nostra interdictum premissum relaxans, a prefata excommunicatione beneficium absolutionis impendas, rescripturus nobis tuis htteris harum seriem continentibus, quicquid super premissis du- xeris faciendum. Datum Rome apud S. Petrum Id. Iunh, Pontificatus nostri anno primo.
