Abt Lorenz zu Gottbeig benachrichtigt die Stiftsholden zu Kunigstetten und Umgebung, dass der Kaiser schon längst vor sannd Kolmanstag wöchentlich 25½ lb. d. als Kriegssteuer zu widerstannd der veindt und befridung des lannds auf sein Stift geschlagen und hiezu die Herbeiziehung der Holden zugestanden hat. Deshalb habe er seinen Hofmeister daselbst, den edlen Gregor Haniff, beauftragt, von ihnen den Sold einer Woche, nämlich 26 lb. d., einzuheben, welche sie ohne Verzug zu bezahlen haben, damit er und sie von Schaden bewahrt bleiben.Datum sabato ante Georii (1477).
Abbot Lorenz of Gottbeig notifies the estate tenants at Kunigstetten and the surrounding area that the Emperor, already long before St. Kolman's Day, imposed a weekly war tax of 25½ pounds denarii on his abbey for the defense against enemies and the pacification of the land, and has permitted the involvement of the tenants for this purpose. Therefore, he has instructed his steward there, the noble Gregor Haniff, to collect from them the pay for one week, namely 26 pounds denarii, which they are to pay without delay, so that he and they may be spared harm.
