Ulrich, Graf zu Schawnberg, Landeshauptmann zu Krain, erklärt, daß er von Kaiser Friedrich (III.) einen schriftlichen Befehl erhalten habe, im Streit zwischen dem Abt Gotfrid und Konvent des kaiserlichen Neustifts in der Neustadt einerseits und dem ehrsamen Herrn Michael Terlitz andererseits zu vermitteln. Auf seine Vorladung hin erschien der ehrsame Herr Hainrich, des obgenannten Abtes und Konvents Mitbruder mit einem Gewaltbrief. Beide Parteien erklärten sich bereit, den Schiedsspruch annehmen zu wollen. Herr Michel Terlitz war Vikar des Abtes und Konvents zu Laibach gewesen und bei der Abrechnung noch 12 lb d schuldig geblieben. Er hält dem entgegen, daß man ihn zu unrechter Zeit seines Amtes entsetzt habe, wodurch ihm ein Schaden von gegen 400 fl erwachsen wäre. Der Vermittler spricht sich dafür aus, daß Michel Terlitz die geschuldeten 12 Ib d nicht bezahlen braucht, Abt und Konvent ihm dagegen die nächste ledig werdende Kirche oder gotsgab, die zu ihrer Pfarre hier in Laibach gehört, zum Ersatz für den obgenannten Schaden geben und dies schon auch in Hinblick auf die treuen Dienste, die dieser dem Abt und Konvent geleistet hat und auch weiterhin leisten soll und möchte. Zugleich soll aller Zwist und alle Feindschaft zwischen Abt und Konvent und dem Herrn Michel Terlitz, wie auch mit Herrn Wilhelm dem Poltz, dem derzeitigen Vikar in Laibach, beigelegt werden. Beide Teile erhalten von diesem Brief einen gleichlautenden Text.
Ulrich, Count of Schawnberg, Provincial Governor of Carniola, declares that he has received a written order from Emperor Friedrich (III.) to mediate in the dispute between Abbot Gotfrid and the convent of the imperial Neustift in Neustadt on one side and the honorable Mr. Michael Terlitz on the other. In response to his summons, the honorable Mr. Hainrich, fellow brother of the aforementioned abbot and convent, appeared with a letter of attorney. Both parties declared themselves willing to accept the arbitration award. Mr. Michael Terlitz had been vicar of the abbot and convent in Laibach and, upon settlement of accounts, still owed 12 pounds denarii. He counters that he was removed from office at an improper time, causing him a loss of about 400 florins. The mediator decides that Michael Terlitz does not need to pay the owed 12 pounds denarii; instead, the abbot and convent are to give him, as compensation for the aforementioned loss, the next church or benefice that becomes vacant and belongs to their parish here in Laibach, also in consideration of the faithful service he has rendered and wishes to continue rendering to the abbot and convent. At the same time, all disputes and hostilities between the abbot and convent and Mr. Michael Terlitz, as well as with Mr. Wilhelm the Poltz, the current vicar in Laibach, are to be settled. Both parties receive an identical copy of this document.
