57 Grant in the form of a chirograph by the canons of Dale to Johanna, widow of Patrick de Saucheverell. and her heirs of a toft in the Vill of Hopwell formerly held by Robert Wageman, together with the selion on which the toft is built, for an annual rent of 29. Sciant presentes et futuri quod anno gracie m cc l quinto ad natale domini ita convenit inter abbatem et conventum de Parco Stanleye ex una parte et Johannam relictam Patricii de Saucheverel filiam Robe le Vavasur ex altera videlicet quod predicti canonici concesserunt et dimiserunt predicte Johanne et heredibus suis unum toftum quod Robertus Wageman aliquando tenuit in villa de Hopwelle cum selione illo super quem toftum illud construitur habend et tenend prefate Johanne et heredibus suis libere quiete et pacifice reddendo inde annuatim dictis canonicis duos solidos argenti pro omni servicio seculari et consuetudinibus et homagiis sectis curiarum ad ipsos vel ad successores suos pertinentibus videlicet duodecim denarios ad pentecosten et residuum ad festum sancti Martini Dicti veto canonici warantizabunt predicte Johanne et heredibus suis predictum toftum cum selione sicut predictum est contra omnes gentes inperpetuum Et sciendum est quod licebit prefatis canonicis distringere dictum tenementum quocienscumque dicta Johanna seu heredes sui defecerint in solucione redditus supradicti Ad majorem autem hujus rei securitatem diverse partes diversis hujus carte cyrografate partibus sua signa apposuerunt Hiis testibus etc
