Notification by Walter archbishop of York, Henry archbishop of Dublin and Jocelin bishop of Bath and Glastonbury that they were present when William the Marshal "keeper of the king and kingdom" with the counsel of the legate (Guala) and the magnates restored to Bishop Silvester the bailey of the castle of Worcester, the moat of the castle being retained for the king's use. ?Easter,1217. W[alterus] et h[enricus] dei gratia Eborac[] et Dublin[] archiepiscopi et j[ocelinus] eadem gratia Bathon[] et Gleston[] episcopus uniuersis Christi fidelibus eternam in domino salutem Noueritis nos presentes fuisse ubi dominus w[illelmus] Marescallus custos domini regis et regni de consilio et assensu domini legati et magnatum Anglie reddidit et concessit ex parte ipsius domini regis uenerabili in Christo fratri nostro s[iluestro] Wigorn[] episcopo ballium castri Wygorn[] tanquam ius ecclesie sue retenta ad opus dicti regis mota eiusdem castelli Et in huius rei testimonium has litteras nostras patentes sigillorum nostrorum impressione signatas confecimus Valete
