765. 28 April 1303. Agreement whereby William de Berkeleye and Sibil his wife have bound themselves (concesserunt se teneri) to make full seisin to Robert de Stoke of a third part of all the lands and tenements with rents, wardships, reliefs, escheats and with profits and all kinds of appurtenances, which fell to the same Sibil in name of dower through the death of John de Bromle her late husband in Coventry, Foleshill, Exhall and Keresley (Coventr Folkeshul Eccleshale et Keresle) before the feast of Holy Trinity 31 Edward I [2 June 1303]; to be held to the same Robert and Joan his wife and to Robert's heirs for the entire life of the same Sibil freely [etc.], by rendering (faciend) to William and Sibil or to their certain attorney bearing letters of acquittance for 3 years beginning at Michaelmas 31 Edward I [1303] a clove gillyflower at Easter, and after the 3 years for Sibil's entire life 32s. annually by the hand of Robert and Joan at Stoke at 2 terms of the year, namely 16s. at the quinzaine of the Annunciation of the blessed Mary and 16s. at the quinzaine of Michaelmas. Mutual sealing clause. Stoke, Sunday after the feast of St. Mark the Evangelist in the year aforesaid.
