Ex parte vestra fuit propositum coram nobis, quod bone memorie A. prepositus sancti Stephani Curiensis electus2 debita quedam contendendo cum adversariis suis super electione celebrata de ipso contraxit. Quibus eo mortuo non solutis nec invento in bonis ipsius, unde predicta debita solverentur, quia plurimum defuncto detrahebatur eidem et sua fraudabantur iustitia creditores, dilecti filii . . abbas et conventus sancti Galli3, ad quorum presentationem dictus prepositus beneficia quedam in Constantiensi diocesi obtinuerat, pietatis intuitu vobis consentientibus concesserunt, ut beneficiorum ipsorum proventus capellanorum exerescentes expensas per vos interim et dictos abbatem et conventum servientium in eisdem per sex annos eorundem cedant solutionibus debitorum, ita quod ex hoc abbati et conventui supradictis, quin ad eadem beneficia libere valeant completo predicto termino idoneas presentare personas, nullum preiudicium generetur. Unde, quod pietatis obtentu super hoc factum dinoscitur, approbari a nobis humiliter postulastis, karissimo in Christo filio nostro F. Romanorum imperatore illustri semper augusto et rege Sicilie nos per litteras suas affectuose rogante, ut te frater episcope super petitione huiusmodi, que, sicut credere dicebat, ex pio processit affectu, dignaremur favorabiliter exaudire. Nos igitur eiusdem imperatoris et devotionis vestre precibus inclinati factum huiusmodi de misericordia toleramus. Dat. Laterani, III. id. maii, pontificatus nostri anno septimo.
