    DE OBITU ET SEPDLTÜHA ABBAUS NOSTRI.

    Post tot aütem labores et continuas luctas, lecto decubans, et sicut talem decuit virum, omnibus que decedentibus necessaria sunt sacramentis rite peractis et perceptis, appositus est ad patres suos, migrans de hoc seculo in senectute bona, anno Domini mille- simo centesimo septuagésimo sexto, et regiminis sui quarto décimo; sepultusque est in capitulo l, inter scamna novitiorum, sub tumba marmórea, que in principio regiminis Anthonii abbatis translata fuit, ubi nunc cernitur, faciens gradum. Ante pulpitum ejusdem capituli epitaphium ejus est tale:

    Hie recubat cui gloria nominis est Godescalcus, Cujus. . .. aperit tituli quod liItera claudit. Mundus obit juveni, juvenileque quodque.senescit. Mox, secli studio transcurso, flamine sancto, Hie Silhiu votum tenet et monacus fit; et inde Migrât in officium patris, huncque locum tenet. Idus Quarte septembris, tribus atque decern pater annis , Spe sancta comité, decedit virgo senexque.
